This summer and fall have been very busy with downsizing Grandma Pat from her log home on the hill to accommodations on Zoar Road. It led all of us to closely examine what is truly important…the stuff or the people behind the stuff. The conclusion we reached is that while some stuff is indeed so imbued with memories that it is essential, the people are what are truly essential. So yes, we did in fact make sure GP was on the last load, and we’re happy to have her!
This entire experience had caused us to carefully assess our holiday shopping lists however, and we encourage you to do the same! Make those purchases count, whether they are the handiwork of a friend or craftsman, support a small business that supports others, contributes to the good of the common order, or all of the above! Small business Saturday is as good a time as any to make the move to COOL YULE~
Consider the gift of a unique craft syrup as well! Tapatree now has an online store (shipping is included!). Why craft syrup? Because it is magical! Each of our unique syrups reflects a moment in time, capturing individual flows from our trees, and then is carefully concentrated into a whole syrup–no reverse osmosis, no high-pressure filtration. What you have left are complex tastes straight from the forest. Check out our Sap House Notes to review the 2016 batch profiles–if you see one you like let us know and we’ll do everything we can to make sure it’s in your box!
Shop thoughtfully this holiday season, whatever you do! Enrich the lives of those you love with gifts that engage their senses and the world we share.
Happy shopping, friends, and have a cool yule!
